Room Projectors

CS Staff maintains the projectors in the following rooms of the Computer Science Building: 105, 233, 301, 302, 318b, 331, 401, 402, and 431. We are using the Barco ClickShare system in rooms 105, 233, 301, 302, 401, and 402.  Please refer to our Barco page for more information on using the system.  For issues with equipment in any other room (e.g., CS 104, or in the Friend Center), please contact Instructional Support Services.  Of course, members of the Computer Science Department are welcome to ask CS Staff for assistance, but our ability to troubleshoot or address any problems in these rooms is extremely limited.

Loaner A/V Equipment

For members of the Computer Science Department, we do have a portable projector available for CS-related classes and events. Please contact CS Staff for more information.

Additionally, Instructional Support Services has A/V equipment available for rental/loan and can also provide audio-visual support for Princeton classes and University events. You can find more information in the Knowledge Base article, Requesting Instructional Support Services (campus login required).

CS 105 Instructions

We have updated the AV system in CS 105. We now offer multiple ways to connect your device: Apple TV, Barco ClickShare, and direct HDMI connection. To power on the system, press the 'On' button on the panel. The button should turn red, and the projector will take about 30 seconds to power on. If you turn it off and then attempt to turn it on right away, it may take up to 2 minutes to properly power cycle. There is a switch on the left side of the whiteboard that will lower and raise the projector screen.

If you only need to temporarily turn off the display to write on the whiteboard, DO NOT turn off the projector. You can press the 'Mute' button to turn off the display and mute the audio without powering down the projector. Press 'Mute' again to turn the display back on. If you turn it off and then attempt to turn it on right away, it may take up to 2 minutes to properly power cycle.

The Volume Knob on the panel can be used to adjust the volume level. The lights on the panel correspond to the volume levels.

Panel Light Modes:

Off – Solid Red Light (Projector is off)
On – Solid Red Light (Projector is on)
Mute – Solid Red Light (Projector display is off and no image is shown)
