University provides faculty, staff and students is a free subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud suite. This includes Adobe Acrobat, InDesign, Photoshop, Premier, Illustrator and other services including an extensive font library.
You can install Adobe apps on all your devices (desktop, laptop, mobile devices and tablets), however you can only have it activated on two devices and use it on one device at a time.
The license is valid for one year, and you will be prompted to renew via your Princeton email.
Installing Adobe Creative Cloud on a non managed device
- To install Creative Cloud, go to creativecloud.adobe.com and sign-in with your Princeton netID. This should prompt a CAS login along with a DUO two factor prompt.
- If prompted to choose an account type, select Company or School Account
- In the list of available apps, locate Creative Cloud and select Download
- Note: If you do not have access to all Creative Cloud apps after initial login, please log out of the Adobe website and try again in 30 minutes.
- Open the installer and follow the instructions. If prompted for an Adobe sign-in, enter your Princeton netID as netID@princeton.edu
Installation on a Princeton-managed device
If your machine is managed by Princeton, you should first go to creativecloud.adobe.com to claim your license using your netID. Adobe apps should be automatically installed on Princeton managed devices. However, if it’s not installed, follow the instructions to download and install.
Windows devices using Kace Software Library
- Browse to https://www.princeton.edu/kace (A VPN connection is required)
- Log in as netID@princeton.edu, enter your password and respond to the Duo prompt
- Click Downloads in the sidebar
- Select the Creative Cloud Desktop App version for your operating system
- Log into the CC Desktop app
- Enter your Princeton netID as netid@princeton.edu
- If prompted to choose an account type, select Company or School Account
- From the CC Desktop app, install the products assigned to you
MacOS Devices using Jamf Princeton IT Self Service
- Go to the Princeton IT Self Service Application
- Find the item named Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop and click Install
- Log into the Creative Cloud (CC) Desktop app
- Wait for a sign-in prompt to appear
- Enter your Princeton netID as netid@princeton.edu
- If prompted to choose an account type, select Company or School Account
- From the CC Desktop app, install the products assigned to you
