Submitting Print Jobs
On Microsoft Windows systems, the most common way to print is from within an application program, such as Microsoft Word. To send a print job to the default printer, use the left mouse button to click on the File
pull-down menu, click on the Print...
menu item, make any required changes to the options, and then left-click on the Print
or OK
button. If you wish to send your output to a printer other than the default, you can use the Page Setup...
menu item in the File
pull-down menu.
Checking Print Jobs
The easiest way to check on print jobs queued on a particular printer is to use the Start
menu. Click on Start->Settings->Printers
and then double-click on the printer whose queue you wish to check.
Canceling Print Jobs
To cancel a print job which you have submitted, first bring up the printer monitor as above. Then, right click on the job you wish to delete, and select Delete
from the pop-up menu.
