Overview
OIT provides wireless connectivity in the CS Building. Aruba Access Points are installed in the CS building, providing 802.11a/g/n/ac coverage on all floors. More information about coverage support and protocol support can be found here.
Additional details about the campus wireless service can be found here:

Guest Access
Guests of the University may use the puvisitor SSID on a limited basis to access the wireless service from their (unregistered) devices.
IMPORTANT! If you are a Princeton faculty, staff, or student, you should not use the guest access. Princeton faculty, staff, and students should use the eduroam network, described below. The eduroam network does not require pre-registration of your device.
Additional details about the puvisitor service (and eduroam) can be found here:

Eduroam
Princeton University is a participant in the international eduroam federated network access service. This service allows members from participating institutions to gain instant and secure access to the Princeton University wireless network using authentication credentials from their home institution. If you are eduroam-enabled and you have authenticated at your home institution, the eduroam wireless connectivity at Princeton is seamless and invisible to you. For Princeton faculty, staff and students, you can travel the world and use eduroam for wireless connectivity at all federated participants.
For Princeton users, your login ID for eduroam is your netID@princeton.edu and uses your OIT password.
Some users may need to download the eduroam Configuration Assistant Tool to install the certificate.
Configuration / SSID
If you are a Princeton faculty, staff, or student, your wireless device should be configured to use the eduroam SSID. The necessary credentials for the eduroam network are your OIT "netid@princeton.edu" as a username, and your OIT password.
Wireless Connection Problems
A common issue we see is when a device is registered with OIT but is still connecting to the visitor network. In this case, the device will have network connectivity (limited, guest-level) for a period of time and appear to be working. After the grace period, the device is banned from the OIT network. To avoid this, you may need to have your device explicity "forget" the puvisitor network name so that it will properly connect using the eduroam network name.
If a device attempts to connect to Temporary Visitor Wireless Network Access (TVNWA) SSID puvisitor and fails because it is not eligible for that service, there will be a 2-minute delay (from the time it stops trying to connect to TVWNA) before the device will be able to connect to OIT Wireless Service, assuming it is eligible for OIT Wireless Service. During that time, it may not even be able to see any wireless networks provided by OIT, let alone connect to them.
